JOB Group Provides Information on Device-Integrated Fire Protection at the Braunschweig Fire Protection Days

GeneralVdS 6024

How can digital infrastructure be effectively protected against fires? This question was the focus of the Braunschweig Fire Protection Days. Together with gekartel, JOB presented integrated fire protection solutions at the event. Traditional building fire protection, such as sprinkler systems, remains indispensable. Complementing this, device-integrated fire protection targets the potential source of the fire directly. Solutions like the AMFE and the E-Bulb can be integrated into devices and systems and are designed to combat a fire early and locally. The principle: protection on multiple levels before a nascent fire escalates into a major incident.
During the event, Markus Fiebig, Head of Business Development and Sales for Extinguishing Solutions at JOB, met with Grant Hendrik Tonne, Lower Saxony’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Transportation, and Construction, for a one-on-one discussion. The key message: As critical infrastructure, charging infrastructure, and connected buildings expand, so does the importance of targeted protection for electrical devices and systems. This is because a fire that starts in a control cabinet or an IoT control system can not only cause property damage but also disrupt the operation of digital systems.
The JOB Group would like to thank Minister Tonne for the open and valuable exchange. Together, we must continue to focus on the resilience of digital infrastructure and business continuity.
