AMFE technology sets new standards in device-integrated fire protection
Cologne, December 3, 2025 – High praise for LG Information Display: At this year’s VdS Fire Protection Days in Cologne, the company officially received the VdS 6024 certificate. The award confirms the high quality and effectiveness of LG solutions in dealing with two key fire scenarios – a fire from outside and a possible fire inside the device.
A key component of this recognition is the E-Bulb from JOB, which is integrated into LG products. This innovative fire protection solution – also known as the “world’s smallest fire extinguisher” – is built directly into device architectures and detects fires at an early stage. In an emergency, it extinguishes fires reliably and without leaving any residue directly at the potential source of the fire, such as an overheated power supply unit.
