DIGITAL MEDIA TECHNOLOGY FROM WERKSTATION ROLLS OUT DEVICE-INTEGRATED FIRE PROTECTION FROM JOB GMBH
Werkstation GmbH was founded in 1993 and is based in Besigheim near Stuttgart, Germany. The company specializes in the development and production of information systems, kiosk terminals and digital signage solutions. Werkstation GmbH also offers innovative digital signage software whereby networks of terminals and display systems are centrally administered and remotely supplied with content. The topic of fire protection in digital displays is complicated and difficult to understand, which is why Werkstation GmbH set itself the task of finding the most innovative solution possible to meet all the requirements. This is how the Lena FP Pro Display (Fire Protection Professional range) was developed. Werkstation customers include Airbus, BMW, Daimler, Porsche, Thyssen Krupp, Deutsche Bahn, and many more.

The primary goal when developing the Lena FP Pro was to reduce the risk of fire from the electronics. This is done by: a robust A1 fire protection housing, internally installed extinguishing and smoke detection units, and a special switch-off mechanism that completely cuts the power into the housing when a fire starts.
The built-in extinguishing and smoke detection units are AMFE systems from JOB GmbH. As soon as a fire breaks out, the AMFE triggers and extinguishes it with a non-toxic gas without causing further damage.

The Berlin-based start-up Rechargy uses an innovative business model that involves renting out power banks and setting up “Power Banks To Go” stations. The Rechargy stations are located in public areas and are therefore subject to strict fire safety and security requirements. Thanks to AMFE, the charging and power electronics areas are reliably protected.
